Operating Procedures

It is important that work/operations procedures:

  • Have the sequence of activities presented in correct order and consider ergonomic efficiency
  • Use standard presentation for all work directives
  • Use standard words and phrases that always convey the same meaning. For example, "inspect" and "check" are frequently confused as are "check" and "test"
  • Are comprehensible to all levels of literacy
  • Have safety and caution notes that are properly presented (standardized and prominent).
